Threads and bonds at UWCEC
Raksha Bandhan, the beautiful festival that celebrates the bond of love between brothers and sisters, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at UWCEC. Our tiny tots came dressed in vibrant traditional attire, adding colour and festivity to the day.
The celebration began with creative activities. The Nursery children enjoyed colouring in a beautiful Rakhi worksheet, while the Jr. KG and Sr. KG children showcased their creativity by making adorable Rakhis featuring their favourite cartoon character – Mickey Mouse.
Their little hands worked diligently, filling the Rakhis with bright colours and love.
The teachers explained the significance of the festival to the children through an engaging PPT presentation, adding a meaningful touch to the celebration. The children tied Rakhis to plants, learning the important lesson of nurturing and protecting nature, just like they protect their siblings. In a heart-warming gesture, they also tied Rakhis to our bus uncles as a mark of gratitude and respect, which brought big smiles and warm blessings.
The Raksha Bandhan celebration at UWCEC was not just about rituals, but about inculcating values of love, kindness, gratitude and responsibility. It was a day filled with joy, creativity and lifelong lessons.
