Janmashtami celebration at UWCEC
Lord Krishna is one of the most powerful incarnations of the Hindu
dharma. The auspicious festival of Krishna janmashtami celebrates
Lord Krishna’s birth.
At UWCEC, we celebrated Janmashtami festival with great zeal and
children came in Krishna and Radha’ attire. Teachers explained to them the
importance of Janmashtami through power point presentations. Children
were overjoyed and danced on janmashtami songs.
They enthusiastically participated in Dahi Handi game and enjoyed breaking the handi. Students even decorated their handi template, few of them made the krishna’s headband with peacock’s feather and other tiny tots decorated the flute with peacock’s feather very creatively .
Nursery tiny tots learned to prepare “Gopalkala” Prasad with the help of their teachers and shared it with everyone.
In this way children came to know the significance of Janmashtami and also the importance
of celebrating cultural festivals with everyone with joy and happiness.
