Kite making activity at UWCEC!

Paper craft encourages children to draw, tear, stick and paint and do several other exercises that promote dexterity. These activities develop the preschoolers’ fine motor skills and strengthen their ability to concentrate for longer periods.

So at UWCEC we taught children how to tear and paste two different colors of crepe paper on their worksheets to form a colorful kite. This helped to enhance their hand-eye co-ordination and also to promote creativity.

Working with such materials teaches them about colours, shapes and textures, how things work and how they fit together. Craft encourages children to play and experiment in a fun and relaxed environment. Every child enjoyed this activity and learned new techniques from it while also creating different products from it.
