Gardening is a wonderful way for young children to connect with nature, learn about the world around them and develop important skills. For kindergartners, it can be a fun and exciting adventure to explore different types of trees and flowers. By teaching them about gardening, you can inspire curiosity, creativity and a love for the environment.

At UWCEC we taught children about different types of trees, flowers and steps of gardening with the help of concept pictures and flashcards followed by activities like planting the seeds, watering them and showing the students how to use gardening tools etc. Planting seeds and watering helped children improve their hand-eye coordination

Such activities help to develop new skills, and build a sense of responsibility among the tiny tots whether they are planting seeds, identifying trees, or simply enjoying the beauty of blooming flowers.

Gardening is not just about growing things—it’s about growing young minds and fostering a love for the environment!
