Life Cycle Of A Plant taught at UWCEC !
Plants are vital to all life on Earth. They are important because they take in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce oxygen which is every living being’s life-line. Plants provide food in the form of fruits, vegetables, cereal grains and seeds. Plants are incredible living things that go through a fascinating journey called the life-cycle.
The Sr.Kg students of UWCEC were explained the different stages of a plant’s life and how they grow and thrive!
The amazing journey “From Tiny Seeds to Beautiful Blooms” was explained to the Sr Kg students. A plant’s life cycle starts with it being a seed, which then grows into a seedling, matures into an adult, produces flowers and seeds, and then begins a new cycle. This entire process is divided into 4 stages namely seeding, germination, vegetation and reproduction.
Students were explained the basic requirements for the proper growth of a plant, the different parts of a plant and their various functions. Through different games and activities and practical knowledge the students understood the life cycle of a plant in an interesting and easy manner.

UWCEC Visits The Planetarium
A planetarium is a theater built to show educational and entertaining presentations about the universe and the night sky. Keeping this in mind, UWCEC arranged a field trip to Yashwantrao Chavan Planetarium for the Sr.kg.students.
It was a mind-boggling experience for the students as the show started with a starry night. They were amazed when they saw huge planets and the vastness and magnitude of our universe. The 3- D visual effects of the show made it an exciting experience for the students when they saw how the universe started with a big bang and how the stars and planets were formed. The presence of massive black holes, the birth and death of stars and also how a spaceship travels in space to gather information ignited their imagination.
UWCEC students are always encouraged to develop first-hand knowledge on the concepts they learn within the boundaries of the classroom. The main objective of this trip was to cultivate scientific fervor in the students and to give them a better understanding of the universe, solar system, constellations and galaxies as they are a part of their theme.

The students were also shown a story highlighting how to correctly salute our national Flag. In this way our 75th Republic Day was celebrated this year by the students and teachers of UWCEC.
