Ganpati Workshop at UWCEC: Fostering Creativity and Cultural Awareness

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrated festivals in India, especially in Maharashtra, where families joyfully welcome Lord Ganesh into their homes. At UWCEC, the spirit of this festival was brought to life with a special Ganpati Workshop for Nursery and Senior KG students.

During the workshop, the young students, guided by their teachers, crafted their own Ganesh idols using shadu mati (natural clay). This hands-on activity not only allowed the children to explore their creativity but also taught them the importance of using eco-friendly materials to protect our environment.

Junior KG students participated by making paper Ganpati idols. Their teachers explained the process in simple terms, guiding the children in creating Ganesha’s face by sticking together various cutouts. This activity was designed to be both fun and educational, helping the children develop fine motor skills while also introducing them to cultural traditions.

The Ganpati Workshop at UWCEC was more than just a craft session; it was an opportunity for students to learn about the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi, enhance their creativity, and work together in a supportive environment. By focusing on these educational aspects, the workshop successfully fostered a deeper understanding of culture, traditions, and teamwork among the young learners.
