Holi Celebration at UWCEC!
Festivals in India strengthen social ties. Festivals are a time for people to come together and celebrate with their families and friends.
Holi is a festival of colors. It signifies the power of love and victory of good over evil. It marks the onset of spring. Families and friends come together, forgive each other and unite to enjoy together.
At UWCEC, the rituals of Holi were explained through a powerpoint presentation in which Holikadahan, Dhulivandan and Rang Panchami’s importance were explained. The importance of using natural and non-toxic colours, not to waste water, and not to put colours on animals were explained by the teachers.
Children did activities based on the Holi celebration. Children were asked to wear colorful dresses for playing colors. Songs were played and children played with natural colours. They enjoyed playing colours with friends, teachers and aunties.
Holi is a festival that brings people together and spreads joy and happiness. It was a colourful and memorable celebration at UWCEC.
