Sr.Kg students of UWCEC visits Planetarium

Educational field trips play an important role in better understanding of a subject. They make learning easier and simpler and offer experiential knowledge to the children.

Keeping this view point, UWCEC had organized a field trip for Sr. Kg. children to the Planetarium. It was a thrilling experience for the children as the show started with a starry night. The children were awestruck when they saw huge planets and the vastness and magnitude of our universe.

The children instantly recognized the planets as it was a part of their theme that had been taught in the class. They got to see different constellations and galaxies and learnt more about our solar system.

The 3-D visual effect of the show made it an exciting experience for the children when they saw that how the universe started with a big bang and how the stars and planets were formed. The presence of massive black holes, birth and death of a star and also how a space ship travels in the space to gather information ignited their imagination.

The visit to the planetarium proved beneficial as regards to boosting the children’s imagination and opening up their minds for more discussion about the universe in the class.
