Good nutrition is vital for a child’s growth, brain development and immunity. However, many children today prefer junk food like pizzas and burgers over healthy options such as vegetables, salads and lentils, leaving parents concerned.

To address this, UWCEC organized a workshop for the Jr. KG parents, led by dietitian Mosha Kaldate, to promote healthy eating habits. Through an engaging presentation, she highlighted the importance of balanced diets, explained food groups and nutrients and shared practical tips and a simple diet plan. She also provided quick, healthy recipes using ragi, semolina and vegetables and emphasized the importance of proper hydration and sleep for children.

Parents found the session highly informative and helpful in encouraging healthier eating habits at home, strengthening UWCEC’s commitment to fostering holistic development in its students.
