Understanding one’s own city is a powerful way to help children develop a sense of pride, belonging, and awareness of the world around them. At UWCEC, students are embarking on an exciting journey to discover their city, learning about its geography, landmarks, culture, and significance.

Through interactive lessons and engaging PowerPoint presentations, students explored their city’s location on the map and identified key public places such as railway stations, museums, and hospitals. They also learned about religious sites, industrial areas, and even army training centers, deepening their connection to their community. Teachers also encouraged students to spell the name of their city, further building their confidence and knowledge.

By uncovering the city’s history, culture, and traditions, students gain a deeper appreciation of its unique heritage. This hands-on approach not only enhances their understanding but also fosters a sense of responsibility and pride, inspiring them to become informed, active citizens who value their local community.

At UWCEC, learning goes beyond classrooms, planting the seeds of awareness and pride that will shape students into future leaders of their city.
