International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year to create awareness about how yoga is not just some random workout but is a way of life that balances the mind body soul connection.

Yoga is a practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. Its physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation help to improve overall health and well-being.

Keeping this in mind UWCEC celebrated yoga day with full zest. Some powerpoint presentations and videos were used by the teachers to explain the importance of yoga to the students. They were also taught a few yogasanas by their teachers and also meditation for relaxation.

As yoga is all about a healthy lifestyle, UWCEC also promoted healthy eating habits by making fruit and vegetable salad and a kokum drink for all the children.

Through this, students understood the importance of yoga in our lives and promised their teachers to practice it regularly to  keep their  body and mind fresh and healthy.
