Yoga Day Celebration at UWCEC
International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year to create awareness about how yoga is not just some random workout but is a way of life that balances the mind body soul connection.
Yoga is a practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. Its physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation help to improve overall health and well-being.
Keeping this in mind UWCEC celebrated yoga day with full zest. Some powerpoint presentations and videos were used by the teachers to explain the importance of yoga to the students. They were also taught a few yogasanas by their teachers and also meditation for relaxation.
As yoga is all about a healthy lifestyle, UWCEC also promoted healthy eating habits by making fruit and vegetable salad and a kokum drink for all the children.
Through this, students understood the importance of yoga in our lives and promised their teachers to practice it regularly to keep their body and mind fresh and healthy.
Fathers’ Day celebration at UWCEC!
The first superhero children meet in their lives is their father. He is the one who takes care, loves unconditionally, safeguards and takes complete responsibility of their family.
Keeping this in mind Fathers’ Day was celebrated in a unique way with the students at UWCEC. The children were shown a PowerPoint presentation about why we should express our gratitude to our dads often, in order to make them feel special and to show our love and respect towards them for everything they do for us.
The Nursery students made a father puppet and expressed their love and respect to their superhero. Jr.kg made a crown for their fathers with beautiful messages on each and the Sr.kg students drew their fathers’ pictures respectively on their photo frames.
A special Fathers’ Day celebration was organized for the Sr.kg students in school where the Sr.Kg students were invited with their fathers. The teachers welcomed them with a big smile. There were activities and games organized for the father-child duos. We could witness their excitement and happiness while doing these activities together.
Few of the fathers shared their experience of being a part of UWCEC and thanked the management for organizing such events and inviting them for the same. This was followed by some snacks, everyone took photos and saved the memories of this event with them forever.

Welcoming 2024-25 with zeal at UWCEC!!
A new academic session began at UWCEC with lots of excitement. The teachers had decorated their classes and corridors with colorful pictures to welcome the students. All students and parents were welcomed with a warm smile from the main gate by the teachers and staff.
The teachers had planned games and interesting activities for the students along with some reinforcement of what was taught last year.
All students participated actively and had fun doing all the activities. They were also explained about the rules and regulations of the school for the coming year.
They were also given toffees and take away activities. Parents were happy to see the smiling faces of their children at the end of the day. A selfie point was made for the students to capture the special moments of their 1st day at UWCEC. In this way the year of 2024 -25 began with lots of love at UWCEC!
