Grandparents Day Celebration at UWCEC!

“What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, and lessons in life. A child needs grandparents to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world.”

Grandparents are the most respected and honored members of the house. They teach their children and grandchildren valuable life lessons like respecting others, helping people in need, moral and cultural values, etc. They are like warm sunshine in the garden of our lives, spreading love, wisdom, and joy. To pay gratitude and to cherish the love and affection showered by our elders, UWCEC organized a Grandparents Day celebration with great enthusiasm.

The stage was decorated with pictures of grandparents and grandchildren. Grandparents were welcomed with a beautiful flower badge. There was music playing in the background to welcome them. The teachers organized an activity where grandparents and grandchildren made puppets of grandparents. We saw the children guiding their grandpa and grandma to complete the activity. This was followed by a fun game of “ball and basket” which both the Children and grandparents enjoyed playing.
Few grandparents shared their palm print as a memory with their grandchildren on the memory board.

To Cherish the memory of the event Grandparents took selfies with the children at the selfie point. It was a day full of warmth, emotions and love and each face had a beautiful smile on it.

Fireless cooking is the most fun and enjoyable kinesthetic activity that a child can indulge in. It helps children to develop confidence, fosters creativity in them, cultivates their culinary skills while also making them aware of the nutritional value of food.
At UWCEC, a “Cold cooking” session was organized for the Nursery students, where they made fireless pizza with the help of bread, sauce, tomato, corn, cucumber and cheese. The kids showed huge interest in the concept and were enthusiastic throughout the task.
This was a fun experience for the children, and they also learned to acknowledge and appreciate the work of their mummies when they cook for them.

Life Cycle Of A Plant taught at UWCEC !

Life Cycle Of A Plant taught at UWCEC !

Plants are vital to all life on Earth. They are important because they take in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce oxygen which is every living being’s life-line. Plants provide food in the form of fruits, vegetables, cereal grains and seeds. Plants are incredible living things that go through a fascinating journey called the life-cycle.

The Sr.Kg students of UWCEC were explained the different stages of a plant’s life and how they grow and thrive!

The amazing journey “From Tiny Seeds to Beautiful Blooms” was explained to the Sr Kg students. A plant’s life cycle starts with it being a seed, which then grows into a seedling, matures into an adult, produces flowers and seeds, and then begins a new cycle. This entire process is divided into 4 stages namely seeding, germination, vegetation and reproduction.

Students were explained the basic requirements for the proper growth of a plant, the different parts of a plant and their various functions. Through different games and activities and practical knowledge the students understood the life cycle of a plant in an interesting and easy manner.
