Diwali Celebration at UWCEC
Diwali, is the festival of lights and it holds a special place in the hearts of people across India and beyond. It’s a time of joy, celebration and togetherness.
In schools, the Diwali celebration takes on a unique significance, especially in kindergarten, where young children are introduced to the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the festival.
Diwali, is also known as Deepavali, which signifies the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It is not just a religious festival but a cultural one, celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal.
Keeping this in mind UWCEC celebrated Diwali with their tiny tots. Students and teachers came dressed up in traditional Indian attire.
The teachers taught the students more about the festival through PowerPoints and videos related to the festival. Various activities were done by the tiny tots in which the Nursery students made 3D diyas, the Jr.kg students made greeting cards and the Sr.kg students made wall hangings. They took their art work back home for decorating their houses.
This was followed by tasty snacks which were given by the school management. The corridors were decorated by the teachers with beautiful rangolis on which small and decorative Diyas were kept, adding more charm to the place.
Parents were happy to see the lights of the diyas and the rangoli designs when they came to pick up their children and they clicked pictures along with their children to cherish the memories of this day. In this way, everyone celebrated Diwali at UWCEC.

UWCEC wishes you all A Happy Diwali !
