Festivals in India strengthen social ties. Festivals are a time for people to come together and celebrate with their families and friends.
Holi is a festival of colors. It signifies the power of love and victory of good over evil. It marks the onset of spring. Families and friends come together, forgive each other and unite to enjoy together.
At UWCEC, the rituals of Holi were explained through a powerpoint presentation in which Holikadahan, Dhulivandan and Rang Panchami’s importance were explained. The importance of using natural and non-toxic colours, not to waste water, and not to put colours on animals were explained by the teachers.
Children did activities based on the Holi celebration. Children were asked to wear colorful dresses for playing colors. Songs were played and children played with natural colours. They enjoyed playing colours with friends, teachers and aunties.
Holi is a festival that brings people together and spreads joy and happiness. It was a colourful and memorable celebration at UWCEC.
UWCEC wishes you all a Happy Holi!

Sr. Kg. Students Explore the Wonders of Space
As part of its commitment to experiential learning, UWCEC organized a field trip to the Yashwantrao Chavan Planetarium, where Sr. Kg. students experienced the magic of the cosmos firsthand.
The journey began with a stunning simulation of a starry night, leaving students in awe as they watched planets, stars, and galaxies unfold before them. 3D visual effects brought the universe to life, making concepts like black holes, the life cycle of stars, and space exploration both exciting and tangible.
At UWCEC, learning goes beyond textbooks, fostering curiosity and discovery. This trip deepened their understanding of the solar system, constellations, and space travel, sparking a love for science that will stay with them for years to come.

UWCEC Students Visit Traffic Park for a Fun & Educational Experience
Nashik is fortunate to have a Traffic Park, a unique space designed to teach children about road safety in a hands-on way. The park features miniature roads, traffic signals, and signboards, making learning both fun and practical.
This year, UWCEC organized a field trip to the park, where instructors gave a live demonstration on road safety rules, pedestrian precautions, helmet use, and seatbelt importance. Students also learned to recognize different traffic signs, making them more aware of their surroundings.
Parents accompanying the trip were impressed by the practical learning experience, which served as a reminder for both children and adults to follow safety rules.
This visit reinforced the importance of road safety, ensuring that UWCEC students grow into responsible and cautious citizens.
