Clay play at UWCEC!

Clay play at UWCEC!

In a fun and interactive way, kids improved their gross motor skills by working with clay and patterns. This engaging activity helped develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. By moulding the clay, kids strengthened their hand muscles, fingers, and wrists, laying the foundation for future skills like writing, drawing, and even sports.

The tiny tots of UWCEC used various techniques such as pinching, rolling, and pressing to create the patterns. Kids rolled out the clay to create long, thin shapes. By pressing the clay down, they created different textures as well. This process helped them develop their problem-solving skills and hand-eye coordination.

This activity also encouraged creativity, self-expression, and patience. By combining clay and patterns, kids engaged in a tactile and visual learning experience that enhanced their gross motor skills and overall creativity. The sense of accomplishment they felt when completing a pattern or design boosted their confidence and motivated them to continue exploring and learning.

Dental Workshop for the Senior Kindergarten Students and Mothers at St Lawrence!

Dental Workshop for the Senior Kindergarten Students and Mothers at St Lawrence!

UWCEC recently organized a dental workshop for the Senior Kindergarten students and their mothers, addressing the growing concern of dental problems among children.

Renowned dental surgeon and root canal specialist, Dr. Pradnya Nemade, was invited to conduct the workshop. For the students, Dr. Nemade emphasized the importance of brushing teeth twice a day and rinsing the mouth after meals. Engaging cartoons about germs and tooth decay were shown to help students understand the concept better.

In the parent workshop, Dr. Nemade discussed signs indicating dental problems in children and shared a healthy dental routine. She also provided valuable tips to help parents instill good oral hygiene habits in their kids.

The workshop concluded with a Q&A session, where parents received useful advice from Dr. Nemade. The interactive session proved to be informative and beneficial for both students and parents, promoting healthy dental practices and awareness.

UWCEC’s initiative to organize such workshops demonstrates its commitment to the overall well-being of its students and their families.

UWCEC Ends the Year with Joy and Celebration

To mark the end of a memorable academic year, UWCEC hosted a vibrant, fun-filled farewell celebration for its young learners. The school came alive with laughter, music, and a sense of joy as students from Nursery to Senior KG enjoyed a morning packed with engaging games, crafts, and special treats.

The Nursery children delighted in paper ball blowing games, Juniors had a blast with balloons, and Seniors enjoyed the lively “yes/no” chair-hopping challenge. Each class also explored their creativity—making summer goggles, headbands, and colorful caps.

A special treat of crunchy bhel, lovingly prepared by the teachers, added warmth to the day, while cartoon screenings wrapped up the celebration with giggles and wide-eyed excitement.

The event wasn’t just a party—it was a beautiful goodbye to a year of growth, learning, and memories. With hearts full of joy, the students stepped into their summer break, ready for a season of fun, rest, and new adventures.
