UWCEC visits a Traffic Park!

UWCEC visits a Traffic Park!

Field trips are an essential part of a child’s education, as they offer them valuable opportunities to explore the world beyond the classroom. Keeping this in mind, one such enriching experience was given to the Jr.Kg. students of  UWCEC as they were taken for a field trip to a Traffic Park. This visit not only introduced the young minds to the rules of the road but also imparted crucial life lessons of safety, cooperation and responsibility.

A traffic park is a scaled-down replica of a real city’s road network and is designed to educate children about road safety. It typically includes miniature streets, traffic lights, road signs and even pedal-powered vehicles. There were instructors who explained the traffic rules with a practical demo which helped the children to understand the concepts like stopping at red lights, yielding to pedestrians, the meaning of various sign boards and using crosswalks.

As UWCEC always encourages parental involvement, few parents of other sections were invited to accompany the children to the traffic park as parents can help their children apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the trip in their daily lives.

In this way, a fun and educational visit was organized by UWCEC.

The little ones try their hand at Elocution!

The little ones try their hand at Elocution!

An elocution competition is a great way to practise public speaking and gain confidence to speak on stage.

Keeping this in mind, UWCEC organized an elocution competition for the Sr.Kg. students. All the students enthusiastically participated in the competition. They chose one leader amongst all the famous leaders of the world and shared more information about him/her. All the students gave their best.

They came out of their comfort zone and were very confident and expressive while giving the speech. Through this competition, every child was able to learn more about our heroic leaders and develop their language, memory and public speaking skills. Thus it was a successful event that helped their holistic progress.
