Red Day celebration at UWCEC !
Colors help children increase their attention span on certain information, which is further transferred to short term and long term memories, thus increasing their chance of retaining information better.
With this aim, Nursery students of UWCEC celebrated Red Day in school as an introduction to red color. The day started off by welcoming the children who came in complete red attire. They carried one favorite red toy along with them to school. The class was decorated with a plethora of red objects and the barrage of red greeted the tiny tots.
The rhyme time, where the class learnt the rhyme of four red apples was enjoyed by all the children. As a reinforcement they were told to use red color and make their ladybug template.
This process helped them to recognize the color red as whole day children could see everything red around them.
